The Rainy River Sturgeon Fishing season has finally arrived! With an early ice-out this season there are a number of people well underway into the fishing season. It should be a great year to chase these dinosaurs, and I will be getting started myself in just two days! Then let the guiding season begin!!!
I will start my Rainy River Sturgeon Fishing season by competing in a tournament and partnering with the owner/designer of the Fish Donkey App, which is a tournament fishing app. This will be a two-day event and is a great opportunity to allow me to get my boots on the ground, and as previously mentioned, I’ll start guiding for those shortly after that. A unique fact about Lake Sturgeon is that an individual fish will not spawn every year. So, when targeting these fish, the likelihood of you catching the same fish 2 years in a row is extremely unlikely.
